  • CARE & REPAIR INFO
The best way to clean your jewelry is with gentle dish soap and a soft toothbrush! Chlorine, water, sweat, etc. should not damage your piece, and they should be resilient to most daily wear and tear. Recommend avoiding prolonged/substantial contact with lotions, harsh chemicals, etc. as while this will not damage your piece in the near-term, it could clog and dirty up your piece over time. Patina will likely wear off naturally over time in high-rub areas such as rings. Even though I use protective setting techniques, and diamonds and sapphires are the hardest stones, even they can still be broken, chipped, or cracked. Please consider this when choosing your jewelry for certain actives. We strive to create beautiful works of art and pride ourselves in our craft and therefore guarantee our workmanship. If your piece requires repair or arrives in unsatisfactory condition, please do not hesitate to contact me. Items which need repair within 60 days of purchase will not incur a repair fee. After this window, there will be a fee depending on materials and the extent of the repair.

  • FINE VS. FASHION JEWELRY
What is Fine Jewelry? The term “fine jewelry” is used for any jewelry that is made from precious metals such as gold, silver, or platinum. Fine jewelry typically uses genuine gemstones like diamonds, sapphires, rubies, or emerald. Fine jewelry is durable and made to last. As a result, fine jewelry can be worn every day. What is Fashion Jewelry? Contrastly, “fashion jewelry” refers to any jewelry that is not made from precious metals. Fashion jewelry is sometimes called “costume jewelry,” and is often made from base metals, such as brass, copper, or aluminum. Fashion jewelry can also be made with textiles or leather, or base metals that are plated with precious metals. If a piece of fashion jewelry is made with a gemstone, it is almost always simulated, which means the “gemstone” might be plastic, glass, or crystal (among others).
